I think what makes NDT so damn likeable is that he speaks as if he “is” our dads, with much wisdom and concern. Gotta love him, and what he has done for science in our age. He has firmly taken up the torch that Sagan once carried.

The Creationists are mounting a hasty defense. Too late, he makes too much sense. How many engaging and articulate science leaders have we met before Dr. Neil? I was still stuck in the quantum time-space continuum to fanboy Einstein. Dr Neil and the Devine 1 a family? I’ll never look on the heavens in the same way again. Awesomeness abounds.

I work in the science and technology field and the problems that overwhelm America in this area are many. The primary issue is the field is leaderless. Bean counters have taken control and bean counters have no vision only beans. Dr Neil has vision and can relate that vision on laymen terms. When we understand we can act. He’ll make a good dad too. I can’t imagine the fun lectures will be if you are caught being naughty by the good Dr. 🙂
